Who we are

Kenpoly Manufacturers Limited was incorporated on 22nd August 1977 as a private limited company. The Company purchased one second hand 650 tons injection moulding machine from Rest Assured Limited together with moulds for producing household items and crates for beverages. Operations were started from a rented warehouse. Having envisaged potential in this project, the company acquired a 5 acre plot on Lunga Lunga Road, Industrial Area, Nairobi and currently has about 500,000 sq.ft. of built up area.

Today, Kenpoly Manufacturers Limited is a diversified company that harnesses the power of innovation in the plastics industry. Presently it employs over 300 employees.

In the market of plastic products “KENPOLY” brand has emerged as a one of the preferred brands. The Company continues to provide the best quality products to its customers. The acceptance of our quality products has influenced us to produce and market more distinct quality plastic products at the most affordable prices.

Products

Our quality products are the hallmark of the company. Our wide range of plastic products include household range i.e. basins, buckets, baskets etc., furniture i.e. chairs, tables, trolleys and crates for wide range of uses i.e. industrial, horticultural and packaging products. Kenpoly products find infinite variety of uses in almost all walks of life.

Infrastructure

Our production unit and office is located on Lunga Lunga Road, Industrial Area Nairobi.

We have the latest injection moulding machines which we continuously upgrade in tandem with technological advancement, a strict quality inspection team and imaginative and innovative designers to bring the best products in to the market and sophisticated machining tools.

Export Market

Kenpoly Manufacturers Limited exports to East African Community countries, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ethiopia.

Raw Materials

Most plastic based products are manufactured using polyproplene or high density polythyelene. The raw materials are mainly procured from Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Asia.

Environmental Aspects

The plastics raw material is in granule form. In the process of conversion there is no emission of gases nor is there waste that needs to be disposed off. The Little waste that goes through process (hardly 1 %) is reused. The plastic products are not hazardous to health of users nor to workers in the industry.

Plastic products are recyclable therefore the products are retrieved for recycling, and material reused in producing light plastic products.

The Company has been audited by National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) to ascertain the effect of production of plastic products by injection moulding on environment and human beings and found negligible impact.
